LEICA M3. 35mm Rangefinder.

This Leica M3 from 1955 which i am working on at the present time.
Although cosmetically its not a pretty sight, mechanically it’s in very good condition indeed.
Besides stripping down the camera, the work i have carried out so far involved adjustment to the optical alignment on the rangefinder,
adjusting of the fast speed mechanism by way of re-tensioning of the shutter curtains and cleaning/lubricating re-setting of the film wind-on mechanism.
The next stage of repair involves the slow speed range which are controlled by a clockwork device called the escapement mechanism.
After that its a simple matter of putting everything back where it belongs , testing the mechanical functions, checking for light leaks and shooting a roll of film.
